Fall Fashion with Mikah

I don’t know about you, but I am more than ready to welcome this season. It is my favorite time of year!! I love the cool weather, the colors of the decorations (and, occasionally of the foliage). One of the best parts of autumn, is getting to dust off your cold-weather-clothes and sport a new look ... for a few days!

We thought it would be fun and super helpful to put together some easy and Florida-friendly fall looks, for our readers. The idea is not to be fashion-forward and uber trendy. Instead we want to share realistic wardrobe ideas for the average Florida gal. We all know that we don’t truly get an “Autumn” where the weather is consistent and cool, the leaves change and all is right in the world. Rather, we get the occasional cold front followed by several days or weeks of our usual 80+ degree weather! Our leaves also aren’t too keen on changing. They favor more of a brownish color…until they give up and fall to their ultimate demise.

The process of planning this special post was so much fun. We were overwhelmed with the number of ladies who were interested in being involved. The pieces that you will see these ladies wearing, were all from their own closets, because our goal was to keep this as real and budget-savvy as possible.

What we’ve decided to do, is carry this theme throughout the week, introducing a new lady each day! We are so thankful to have had this opportunity and to have met these amazing women! Hopefully you are as excited as we are, to see what we put together for you.

First, we have Miss Mikah. She was a true joy to hang out with and photograph. Her natural beauty and her bubbly, vibrant personality were magnetic.

Her first look….

A cream sweater-dress with brown lace-up boots.

We first paired the dress with a brown leather belt at her waist.

We then traded the belt for a plum velvet jacket.

Her second look….

Mikah wore a teal and navy striped dress, with long sleeves paired with the same boots. We incorporated a smooth brown leather coat to top off this look.

We loved these looks, because they were so simple and yet so fun and easy to mix up with different accessories.
