The Things

After a short hiatus from the blog, the sisters are ready to pick up where we inadvertently left off. Life happened. We got a little off track, in the madness of it all. My personal goal, is to take a step back and look at my current season of life... making note of the things that I can change, going forward, to make the best of my time. I want to be as productive as I can possibly be, with each moment I'm blessed with. I am a woman in business but I am also a mother of some pretty amazing girls, and let's not forget to leave room for a little romance, every chance we get. Sounds pretty simple, right?
NOT! Life happens..remember??
We constantly struggle with the concept of balancing it all. As women....as HUMANS, we are non-stop. Going ninety-to-nothing, to do all of the things. It's impossible. You will never get to do ALL of the things. Even the women who seem to be 'doing it all'....well, they aren't. I'm sure that, regardless of how it may look from the outside, there is inevitably something in her life that is left wanting. The struggle is more than real, my friends. But what can we really do to help even the playing field and be able to fully give our energy when and where it's due? Is that even possible?? My goal is to seek out some ways that we can all hope to regain something resembling balance in our lives. No matter what your personality type, occupation, marital status, etc...we should all be able to find a way to maintain a zen...a balance...and do the things.

Find habits that are healthy for you. Whether it is a diet, working out, adapting a new schedule to obtain work-life balance, start meditating, find a new hobby, reconnect with friends or make new ones, plan a trip...whatever you choose to do to improve your quality of life, DO IT. Make baby steps, so that goals are easier to reach and progress is easier to maintain. We get discouraged when our goals aren't met when we want them to be. We give up on ourselves way too easily. Not just physically, but mentally as well. Even our professional lives take a hit when we are discouraged. We want a promotion or we want a new job altogether...or maybe we want to leave the workforce to pursue our own business, but if it doesn't happen exactly when/how we want it to....we are done. So choose goals that are small and work your way up to the big ones. Don't bite off more than you can chew.....so to speak.
