I was born & raised in Lakeland-lived my entire life here and have loved watching it grow-especially lately. There are so many neat places and amazing creators right here in this 'small town'. One of my favorite new spots is this fun little cafe in South Lakeland. Now this is not your typical coffee & scone kind of cafe... no-it has a personality like no other.

Let me tell you a little bit about the owner of this fine establishment. Tram Toadvine is a vibrant young woman and entrepreneur. This is actually not her first business venture-she also owns a pet resort but it is definitely unique. She was born in Vietnam and moved to Lakeland at the ripe age of 9 and has lived here ever since. She travels out of town often and her travels are often food-inspired because she is a massive (self-proclaimed) foodie! New places offer endless opportunity to try new things and that is what drives her. She will try anything.... once. In one of her many adventures she visited 14 different restaurants in one day. Fourteen.

These many explorations of cuisine have lead her to open her own little (UnIcOrN-themed) foodie-haven. She just opened in early February (2018) and has an eclectic menu that is constantly changing as she and her staff of seven are always creating amazing new things. Their signature items are the Asian Bubble Tea & Bubble Waffle, which are two things everyone needs to try atleast once in their life. They also have ice cream and donuts ...and this amazing little 'grilled cheese' which is no ordinary white bread sammich. This is a perfect blend of salty and sweet, cheesy goodness-complete with bacon piled on top! You've GOT to try it.

Customers of the Bubble Bar Cafe are not just Lakeland natives. She has people traveling from surrounding metropolis, like Tampa & Orlando. They have a constant flow of happy customers thru their door the entire time they are open (11am to 9pm-in case you are wondering). In just the little time I was visiting with Tram-they had atleast 10 people thru the door and they all left with a smile on their face! Due to the immense popularity of this little 'hole-in-the-wall' cafe-they have a second location in the works that will be in Sarasota! So stay tuned to learn more about that as it develops!

I mentioned the busy-ness of the cafe... but don't be discouraged. Go there. Immediately! When you go, FYI-it is on South Florida Ave in the plaza with Outback Steakhouse. Her place is located between Marco's Pizza & Anthony’s Health Hut. Don't always trust your GPS-mine had a little fun with me when I was headed there for the first time. (Thanks, Flo! You've got jokes! - - yes-I've named my GPS).

So...with all of that said, let me share a few quick fun-facts with you!

*Always ask what's new! Since they are always trying out new creations-there is a bit of stuff that isn't on their regular menu!!

*Grab a T-SHIRT during your visit! If you go in wearing your shirt, you'll get 10% off of your order!

*Check out their Lightbulb drinkware! If you get your drink in a reusable lightbulb and bring it back in for a "refill" you'll get 10% off!

*Follow the Bubble Bar on Facebook to be the first to know about upcoming events (like Unicorn Day!!!)

*Their hours are: Monday - Saturday 11am - 9pm & Sunday 12pm - 6pm

*Address: 5327 Florida Ave S, Lakeland, FL 33813 (No phone....YET)

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to learn about this wonderful new spot! I love to support local businesses and my fellow GirlBosses! I hope that you will check this place out! Tell her I sent you 😉
